Sweep Update with Bear Rage extra

He is back home thank god!!!

We're rascals, scoundrels, villains and knaves, drink up me 'arites, Yo Ho, We're devils and blacksheep, we're really bad eggs, drink up me 'arites, Yo Ho, Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me.

Mu bear, the bear that likes to kill or convert all the other toys till all is for Allah!!!!

Well my small dog is recovering very slowly, he is now back home and upon arrival looked very sorry for himself with his massive head tilt, failure to pee and inability to drink properly

Today one day on he has peed his little heart out, been able to stand (almost without a stumble) to do so, drank with out aid and his head tilt is still pronounced, but getting every so slowly better, thank god

so very relieved to have him home, so very glad he is getting better every day before my very eye's now

roll on to 100% health for him.

Advert for ITQ! Yes I am to be famous, well only a small fame, and only by virtue of a small ad stating my name and how good I found the ITQ course to be, however I am very proud of this small monument and will finally see my name in something worthwhile promoting something worthwhile

here is the quote being used and the Advert as it will read

“I have gained confidence in myself and my ability to use IT,” says recent ITQ student Michael Hearn. “I now feel empowered to study more related topics.”Registered disabled, he embarked on the ITQ course as a step towards getting back into the jobs market. “I was very impressed with the course, and it has inspired me to go on learning. I am now working on Open University courses in maths and languages, with a view to becoming a teacher.” He is already using his new computer skills for correspondence – and also runs his own website. He recommends the ITQ programme “because the staff are lovely and the course is great!”

I am very proud.

Bear Rage, well we have had Pope rage, Cartoon rage, so why not Bear rage, it only makes sense that a country in which Islamic forces ethnically cleansed and or raped 200- 400,000 predominantly Black Christian people a white middle class non Muslim woman allowing a bear to be called Muhammad gets the Islamic population in a rage, this clearly shows Islam for what it is, outdated, violent, and not needed in 2007 or at the very least in need of reform, except as it is a fascist totalitarian dictatorship of a desert death cult that reform will never happen sadly

how very tragic for the west to have such a thing exist alongside us all, but I hold out hope it will be beaten into submission and soon.

The Pause

Me tinkering with a CMX 450 Honda Rebel for a mate, truth be told I love mechanics still, but hey the back/legs/knee's are not happy doing anything like it

Yes this is the pause, the held breath before the plunge, the ending, the beginning

Yup it is that piece of time where nothing is happening, because on one hand everything I was doing has ended, but very soon new things will begin

And I am lost in the wait, I miss my I.T.Q. if only because I left the house to do something twice a week and had to mix with other people.

I am anxious to hear my final results re the Maths MU120 to see if I passed, I hope I did.

I am however happy with the German G.C.S.E. and hope it will bring great things, though I am again anxious that I will have to do 'proper' exams, including Speaking which I am not great at, (just ask my best mate and my show at the wedding as best man and the speech)

Under pressure I can, but I feel so ill prior

Anyway I also am about to start the Rundlicks German for the O.U., again anxious as the course is set out slightly different from MU120

Still what would life be without worry, what would it consist of without these 'pauses' to reflect and prepare.........I just hope I am up for the next level of the challenge as I wish to move on in life.

Onwards, eventually................

Official last ever I.T.Q. workshop today

Steam Engine at Tatton Park, Excellent stuff huh?

Yup took all of 3 minutes to tell me I had completed everything, no more to be done, just wait about 2-3 months and the cert will be with me

What can I say I am lost a little with nothing to do education wise in the day, but I plan on devoting more time to the German and general day to day tasks

all done next update as and when

Thursday, 27 September 2007

Stag in Tatton park which I visited recently, beautiful animals.

Well today brings forth conclusion on the I.T.Q. course with a definitive closure of the course paper work coupled with me signing off the very last piece of required work

one single last visit into the I.T. part of the college for an 'exit' workshop which will take place next Tuesday and it is all done, I have achieved the I.T.Q. and I am very pleased about it

Reckoning is within two to three months I should have my certification, a very pleasing moment I am certain.

ok next closure is the final T.M.A. (04) has been checked, reworked and is currently sat on my desk awaiting special delivery for submission to the tutor for a final mark, this is the second to last piece of the MU120 maths, over the weekend I aim to finalise the last C.M.A. 45 and that is then full closure of that course, I hope I have achieved what was needed, I shall post up as soon as I know

So two great things in one single day

update when C.M.A. is submitted online plus update of mark obtained for both the C.M.A. and T.M.A. as and when I know

The very last I.T.Q. ever, ever well till the next one

Latest visitor to My Garden, Welcome a very small but extremely cute Hedgehog currently known as Harriot.

Ok yes today of all days was suppose to be the very last I.T.Q. however slight glitch in so far as the 'project part' being that there was four small minor things that required fixing as to meet the as of yet unquantified standard that is being set by erm, well MY work inclusive of MY project

Seemingly I am setting the standard as the staff have never marked one before and as such I think considering they keep holding it up to others to see they are setting a very very high standard indeed

Fortunately in an hour and a half (they assumed four) I 'fixed' all the minor things and now have a fully 'fulfilling their criteria to the letter' Project

And hopefully the very next I.T.Q. will be the honest to goodness last one ever, IF not I guess the next one will be.

Other news, Today arrived my O.U. German course materials

Looks fun

updates as and when, next on the list is my submission of the next and final T.M.A. 04, soon to be followed by the final C.M.A. 45 and that my friends is my MU120 complete (I hope) next Feb for MST 121

Tommorow, it arrived

Start Point Lighthouse
which was worth the visit

Me just catching a breather on the way to Start Point Lighthouse, it was a beautiful day out

And lo said the highest of the high, it is good and it was............................

Seriously all is sweet, the blues are past me, the memories of those gone now sated for another year, I step boldly forward and I'm ready for the next chapter of My life

and so here is the update so far

1) Attended Tutorial for Maths now head fully round the things I found hard, I am rolling baby yeah.

2) Second to last I.T.Q. today, all results brilliant and I am just now await my project assessment and we are done, finite, now sit and wait a few months for the cert which I have earned.

3) Not long now till the German G.C.S.E. I can not wait to start using Ich verstehe nicht till the exam....;-D

Anyway the bold move forward and so I am slowly returning to my former self (mentally at least) thus it is no shock that I will be throwing myself with rope off a 120 foot building in the name of charity, abseiling for charity, I could think of nothing else I would have doctors telling me I should not be doing

No fear, except maybe there is just a little, which just equates to me feeling so alive again

Update done, next one as an when C.M.A. 44 due in on the 13th

Next Tutorial for Maths is the 19th

oh yeah positive a go go

Holiday

Me on top of the world, at least On top of Tintagel, took forever to get up there, but my middle name is now Determination and thus was it I made it

Tintagel

St Michael's Mount

The Lighthouse at The Lizard

Self Explanatory, Lands End, so sweet to have made it to this point!

Brixham Harbour, Simply stunning.

Well there you go just a few of the pictures taken (5.6 gb's in total) whilst I was away, to say Devon and Cornwall are brilliant is the biggest understatement of all time

My heart Lies in Sussex, my being/soul however Lies across Devon and Cornwall such is the impact these two magnificent counties have upon me

Even sat here now back home I feel the pull in my gut that questions why I returned to Hertfordshire.

Anyway onwards, I have but a few days to submit my next T.M.A. and have nothing as of yet on paper, I shall attempt to change that situation very shortly beginning Monday I think.

Also my latest certificate arrived and I shall get a shot of that up soon as well

Must also catch up after missing two sessions of the ITQ because of my holiday

as such I must rest this weekend then return to normal non holiday life a.s.a.p. as that is what is required

Ok well onwards etc, next update as and when

Last German and I.T.Q. rolling onwards

Angelic to the last

Well! last German Intermediate today and it was fun with a few refreshers of what we had covered over the last ten weeks plus a little Lemonade and snacks to finish off the last lesson

again brilliantly taught and I look forward to the G.C.S.E. now even more.

Next Certificate will be in the post I am assured

Onwards to the I.T.Q. received my mark for Spreadsheets and I did brilliantly, add in I was also marked excellently for generally computer ability and all is looking great.

Nearly completed the Database component now and in reality three weeks maybe four and I will achieve full completion and another certificate will be on its way

onwards then to full submersing myself into the Maths, which i now hope to be able to give much more attention .

all is sweet in my world then, till the next milestone.............

ITQ project

A 'Enhanced' shot of
Hitchin church clock tower
,
yes I got bored and played with adobe, but it is a nice effect all the same

Well spent the last 6 hours finishing off the Project part of the I.T.Q. course

Thankfully it is now done, I am preparing to now complete the last of the components and then coupled with this Database Project completion I should within two to three weeks Finish and just await a certificate to arrive through the door (fingers crossed)

Been interesting to discover the multiple functions of Word, Spreadsheets and Databases and I will not be without a small amount of sorrow for suddenly having nothing allocated for the hours of 3-5 Tuesday and Thursday every week

But I guess that is nearly that and I will have plenty of other topics to devote my time to coming up in October

Other news is it is but one day away from the very last Intermediate German course again quite a loss really, but to be replaced by the G.C.S.E. plus the start of the O.U. languages course

My Garden Project is still on hold however I did manage to 'harvest' the grand total of two ripened strawberries the other day, and honestly they were scrummy, just hope more are to follow.

All else is good then, updates as and when then.

Spreadsheets Mock plus

Just a Close Up of moth as an offering today as I have not had time to snap anything else in nature.

Well today saw the Mock accessed and honestly I am very happy with the outcome, which sees me graded as more than able and now onto the two two hour assessments as a final outcome,

which take place this Thursday afternoon and next Tuesday Afternoon, fingers cross by Thursday of next week I should be starting Databases, the final element of the I.T.Q. and then I am done, unless I can find something else in the I.T. department to do

and that is all to report at the moment, till next time

Thursday, 31 May 2007

So near to finishing the Spreadsheets

Latest addition to the visitors list for my garden include Brand New Fresh Out the Box BABY BLUETITS and they are great.

Yup been a busy boy, and am but four pages away from completion of the Spreadsheets part of I.T.Q.

Which is great news as it leaves me just Databases and I have completed the minimum, though if I can I shall endeavour to complete all the components.

Still no news on the Maths T.M.A. though having checked the Diary I can confirm that today was last day to submit, so reality was I submitted well before time and hopefully will hear back soon enough.

Already currently 90% through the next C.M.A. for submission, just got to double check all answers and that will be away too, leaving me free then till the next T.M.A. due for August, so more than enough time to devote to that.

Onwards and upwards yet again

Other news is another fence panel was erected today for the Garden Project, mainly due to some reasonable weather for today, it is not looking that bad thankfully

Next Update as and when I hear something

ITQ WORD complete

Something Pretty just because I can.

Well today saw the Word assignments I completed accessed and the results were happy slightly impressed people who gave me a thumbs up and as such I moved straight on to Spreadsheets, which so far look easy and more than something I can handle

And with the two phases to go and this course being complete I would like to believe I can achieve the whole thing by latest September well under the allowed 12 Months

Here is hoping and that should be another Certificate to add which will be cool

also of note German tonight saw us discussing past tense which seriously hurt my brain but I achieved some of it, I do have slight nagging doubts about Me doing a G.C.S.E. in this subject, but i shall not give up on it yet, maybe if I devote some quality time to it I may yet surprise myself

Other updates : One submitted TMA 02 went off in the post yesterday, fingers crossed it does me proud, it took a lot out of me mentally to complete it

The Garden Project got a look albeit a brief one today, with a clear out of a few bushes to allow for slabbing to take place up to the fence line, slowly slowly catchy monkey and likewise that approach shall be applied to this garden if I am to get it correct

And that is it all for another day, pretty much the education is now ticking by, with me a little bit more settled back into utilising my brain and actually achieving something

Tomorrow brings me sailing in the afternoon and thus I am happy

May Update TMA, ITQ and German

The lake district just to remind me of another beautiful place I have visited, plus of course finally found out just how to add a effect tint from my photography program

quite pleased with the results if i do not mind saying so myself.

Well it always bodes well that I am tired but oddly contented

Firstly the ITQ Assignment 1 word processing, me thinks the boy did ok, should have taken 2 hours to complete I managed it in 1, go me, Tomorrow (Today being the 17th May early hours) will see me complete Assignment 2

thus Word is complete, Spreadsheets and Databases a go go from there on in

And onwards we go backwards to yesterday evening which saw me at a Maths tutorial, followed on with a finishing of 90% of the TMA 02, with just a 500 word essay to complete it.

It all feels right and hopefully it shall prove to be so

*Cue unhappy face* NO SAILING this week as of yet due to horrible weather that just makes me fed up, again however sailing will resume a.s.a.p.

German Intermediate : All is going well or at least better than expected, I just have to stop doubting myself and get my brain to function on demand, however that alone is as easy as juggling Jelly

still nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Updates as they come in

Oh Garden Project Status : On hold till better weather and extra Funds

Depression or Weather Blues ITQ a go go

Just to remind me what good weather is all about.

What is it about the rain, I love being out in it, or hearing it teem down, but something about this 'pissy' drizzle and grey skys that makes my heart weep and my spirit flag

Why place this here? well because it is difficult enough to inspire myself through pain and oft actual muscular seizure to go and study and take in the knowledge

I achieve it because I lift my spirit up enough to believe in myself and see beyond the pain

Now see when the weather changes to such despair ridden sky's why I find it so incredibly hard to concentrate on anything, even typing this blog leaves me with the feeling of "why bother?"

Still today brought me ITQ at college, which was Farcical as currently I am ready to do an exam in Word, however nobody currently at the college really knows what to do with me, as such finally after really sitting around for a long time I am now booked in to a Exam workshop (whatever the hell that is) Tommorow (Thursday)

and maybe hopefully fingers crossed soon I'll actually take a test before I forget everything

Enlightening moments today include using my new and still in the box despite being two years old Angle Grinder to cut a brick top for the retaining wall I have completed in my Garden Project

I certainly am no builder, but I am pleased with the results so far despite the time its taking, OH the joys of being disabled means I can now achieve in a week what once would have taken me half a day

Still oddly enough doing this garden for some reason brings to my mind my granddad and just how much I loved him and still miss him (all in a good way), found myself wondering what he would have made of this slabbed, dumped earth, bits of brick, cuttings and general garden

Then I reminded myself, he would have thought it was great as his grandson had done it

Till the next update

Gardening

Yup it is ME laughing boy! All happy to be in Sussex and Chilling out for a change

Baby Canadian Geese are Getting bigger whooo de hooooo

The Project de Jardine/ der Garten
And yes its a bitch to do!

Or why has everything seemingly stopped in the Maths?

Well it all really comes down to this equation

One Garden Project + Various trips to various places x sailing + general day to day household things = one seriously tired Student

If you also factor in the ITQ and German its noticable that time is currently not on my side

However all is due to change as tomorrow evening (Weds the 9th May) I have set aside in my mind three spare hours with which to start the Maths TMA 02

Hopefully it should be completed well before the deadline! Updates as ever will follow on

Ps got the ITQ tomorrow too, HOPEFULLY by now they will have marked my pre mock and my mock and maybe just maybe I'll be able to take the Exam for MS word

Hopefully.............................. AGAIN updates as they arrive

deutsche Studie heute

New Tolkien Book released
Children Of Hurin

Guter Tag, heute begann ich das zweite Teil meiner deutschen Studie

And it went great'ish, quite amazing how much the Brain can 'forget' in just two weeks absence from studying

and forget I did, however I was pleased with what I actually remembered so that is something

Now to get back to Verb tables and kick start the Grey matter into thinking another language and hopefully by next week I shall be again confident in what I am doing

Other news is I have moved all ITQ to the end of this week because of various other things occurring in that same time period

Thursday, 12 April 2007

ITQ update one week officially Done

Me on a misty Morning down East Head Sussex, just near Wittering.

Well we have been assigned a mandatory MS Word book consisting of around 300 pages.

So far after two sessions (which i have found incredibly insightful for tweaking my Word knowledge) I am on page 133!

Which leaves me wondering if this course is meant to take a whole entire year, how come I should be finished a third of it within the latest a month?

Confused....well yes i am a bit, but i am also enjoying it.

Wednesday, 4 April 2007

ITQ erm, Part two

Today was the next step of the ITQ introduction

And it is now done, under the belt, behind me now, managed as did everybody else to gain a certificate for health and safety, which dubious was attained by understanding we could all adjust our chairs and hang our coats up (Do not ask)

Still it is the start, soon or at least next week on Tuesday i should begin the very basics of MS WORD

We then move onto other things to attain the ITQ level 2 qualification

Tuesday, 3 April 2007

You can do it when you ITQ it

Rainbows are so cool,
especially those captured down the coast at my daughters Uni.

Or How to start a basic IT course with fundamental beginners literacy which I hopefully flew through though I confess to having poor English Skills.

Anyway part two is Tomorrow Wednesday and then it will be minimum four hours per week for a year (unless I can finish it earlier hopefully).

Also managed to get 90% of the next Maths CMA done, just four questions now remain and I shall have them completed by the end of the week Touch wood.
